SK telecom OPEN 2007,
the world-class event of the Korea most prestigious golf tournament
Since the 1st SK Telecom CLASSIC started in 1997 in order
to enhance the country's male professional golf players' international
competitiveness, to pick out talented golf rookies and to
train them, SK telecom OPEN, which has contributed to the
growth of Korea's golf industry and the popularization of
golf, will have its 11th event this year.
With its upgrade into the Asian Tour and change into SK Telecom
OPEN in 2001, the tournament has achieved its world-class
status and it has grown into the Korea's top-rated golf tournament
which is true to its name through the continuous development
for years in the past.
In this SK telecom OPEN 2007, you will see Aaron Baddeley,
the winner in 2007 PGA FBR OPEN, Charlie Wi, the 2 consecutive
tournaments winner in 2001 and 2002 who is active in PGA Tour,
SK Ho, the 6 time- winner in total so far in JGTO of Japan,
and other players playing in this tournament and competing
with the top-ranking players from KPGA and the Asian Tour,
which will be the best moment that you should not miss as
a golf fan.
SK telecom, which is taking off as a global leader with its
Wings of Happiness, will promise that it will make endless
efforts to develop this affair into the world's top-class
tournament, and it also expects that the pro-golfers playing
in the game will display their most gifted talent satisfactorily.
In conclusion, I am very grateful to all Korean and international
pro-golfers participating in this tournament, Mr. Sam-goo
Pak, chairmen of the Korean professional golfers' association,
Mr. Kyi Hla Han, executive chairman of Asian Tour, Mr. Jung-Ho
Choi, president of BA Vista Country Club, Mr. Kum-loul Ha,
chairman of SBS with the broadcasting staffs, and all related
persons of this tournament for their corporation and labor.
